This Privacy Policy outlines how "Mow Man" ("the Bot") collects, uses, and protects your information when you interact with it on Discord. Your use of the Bot constitutes your agreement to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide its features, the Bot collects and stores several types of data:

a) Information You Provide Directly

  • Messages & Commands: Any content you send in channels where the Bot is active, in direct messages with the Bot, or as part of a command.
  • Economy Account Information: When creating an economy account, you provide an email and password. This data is required for account functionality, such as login and multi-device access.
  • User-Submitted Information: Data you voluntarily provide through commands, such as using the info command to give the bot personalized information about yourself.
  • Media: Images or other files you attach to messages are processed to enable interaction and may be sent to trusted third-party services for analysis.

b) Information Collected Automatically

  • Discord User Information: Your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, roles, and server-specific permissions.
  • Discord Server Information: When added to a Discord server, the Bot may store information about that server, including its ID, name, channels, and roles to enable its features.
  • Interaction & Event Data: The Bot logs interactions and events within a server to provide contextual awareness. This includes message data, reactions, member changes (join/leave/update), and server setting modifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To Operate the Bot: To provide core functionality, including contextual AI conversation, running commands, and managing features.
  • To Power AI Features: Conversation history, message content, user, and server information, and attached media are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate responses and execute actions.
  • To Enable Economy Features: To manage your economy account, balances (pocket and bank), inventory, and other related game-like features.
  • For Personalization: To remember conversation history and user-provided details to create a more personalized and coherent user experience.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only in the following circumstance:

  • Google (Gemini API): To generate AI responses, the content of your messages, conversation history, user profile information, server details, and image data are securely transmitted to Google's API. Your use of the Bot is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on the server hosting the Bot. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure, but please be aware that no digital storage system is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

By default, we retain certain conversational data, user-submitted information, and economy data to ensure the continuous and contextual operation of the Bot.

Server data when the bot is removed from a server, the associated server-specific data (including message logs and settings) is scheduled for permanent deletion after a brief period (typically 7 days) to allow for data restoration if the bot is re-added.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have rights over your personal data. You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data held by the Bot. Server administrators have control over server-wide data, such as AI rules and channel settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The Bot is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any significant changes will be announced in the official support server. Continued use of the Bot after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
